This image was captured around 5 a.m. on July 5 near the intersection of 4th Street East and Minnesota Street. The individual shown is believed to be a white male and approximately 35 to 50-years-old. He was wearing an orange t-shirt with white lettering, black shorts, gray shoes, and was carrying a black backpack at the time.

HOMICIDE UPDATE: The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim in Thursday’s homicide on the 200 block of 7th Street East as Cion L. Jordan, 22, of Maplewood. There are no further updates at this time.

Saint Paul Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Downtown

Shortly before 12 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of 7th Street East following multiple reports of shots fired.

Officers arrived on scene and located two gunshot wound victims. The first victim, an adult male, sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound to the stomach. He was transported to Regions Hospital, where he died a short time later. The second victim, also an adult male, was located inside a nearby apartment with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. He was also transported to Regions Hospital for medical treatment.

Saint Paul Police homicide investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to positively identify the victim and determine their exact cause of death. This information, along with any updates on the case, will be released on the Saint Paul Police Department’s Facebook and X accounts.

This is the 12th homicide of 2026 in Saint Paul.

Saint Paul Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Downtown

HOMICIDE UPDATE: Two additional individuals have been arrested and charged in relation to the July 18, 2026, homicide on the 500 block of North Kent Street.

The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office has charged Treheem Smith, 29, of Saint Paul, with aiding an offender and Anthony M. Rivera, 28, of Saint Paul, with possession of a firearm/ammunition by an ineligible.

Earlier this week, the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office charged Christopher G. Burke-Harris, 37, of Woodbury, with second-degree murder.

1 Dead, 2 Injured Following Shooting in City’s Frogtown Neighborhood

Shortly before 4:30 a.m., Saint Paul Police officers responded to the area of Edmund Avenue West and North Kent Street following reports of an assault and shots fired.

Officers arrived to find an active scene with a large gathering of people. An adult male with life-threatening gunshot wounds was located lying in the street and officers began life-saving measures. The victim was transported to Regions Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Officers canvassed the area and identified a house on the 500 block of North Kent Street that had been stuck by gunfire. During their search, officers learned two additional victims had transported themselves to Regions Hospital. The two victims, an adult male and an adult female, both sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Saint Paul Police homicide investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victims as:

Nansi G. Fuentes Zambrano, 25, of Inver Grove Heights.

Dena M. Silcox, 56, of Saint Paul.

And Adam J. Wilwerding, 43, of Oakdale.

HOMICIDE UPDATE

Saint Paul police officers have arrested Tsegaab A. Binessu, 30, of Saint Paul, on suspicion of murder in relation to yesterday’s triple homicide.

Binessu was taken into custody by St. Louis County deputies in Virginia, MN last night and transported to SPPD headquarters.

Three Adults Deceased After Shooting in Saint Paul

At 4:10 p.m. on July 20, Saint Paul police officers were called to the 1500 block of Saint Paul
Avenue for multiple reports of shots fired.

Officers arrived on scene and located three adults deceased in the leasing office of the apartment complex. Officers began evacuating residents from the apartment complex and securing the area.

Investigators with the police department's homicide unit are currently working to determine what led to the shooting. In addition, members of the forensic services and video management units are processing the scene for evidence.

A person of interest has been taken into custody.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim in Saturday’s homicide near Edmund Avenue and North Kent Street as Da’Voncea L. Griffo, 27, of West St. Paul, MN.
