The Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) observed the Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026 campaign, being celebrated from 17 September to 2 October 2026, with active participation from its Safai Karamcharis.
Through this initiative, SCGJ reiterates its commitment to promoting the values of cleanliness, environmental responsibility and collective participation towards building a cleaner and greener India.
Swachhata is not just a responsibility, but a collective commitment!
The scheme will strengthen transmission infrastructure, enable up to 135 GW of renewable energy evacuation and deploy 50 GWh of Battery Energy Storage to enhance grid flexibility and support large-scale renewable energy integration.

News Update: The Union Cabinet has approved the Green Energy Corridor Phase-III (GEC-III) Scheme for Development of Intra-State Transmission Systems with Battery Energy Storage Systems, with a total outlay of โน1,86,405 crore.
At the SCGJ Workshop on Solar Energy & BESS, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐จ๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ, General Manager, NSDC, shared insights on Indiaโs skilling ecosystem, industry participation & emerging workforce opportunities.
During the Q&A, Mr. Reddy highlighted opportunities under NEP, including greater scope for on-the-job training, while emphasising meaningful industry participation in skill development.
