The Faith Method
In John 6, Jesus asked Philip, “Where shall we buy bread that these may eat?” Notice that it was Jesus Himself that brought money into the conversation. He asked them the question from the human perspective.
Jesus already knew what He was going to do.

Many Christians carry a willing spirit but a weak flesh. That is why we must constantly examine the condition of our flesh: its appetites, habits, and level of preparedness.
The HolySpirit is committed to strengthening your spirit, but you must take responsibility for your flesh
Notice that He did not criticize their spirit. He commended it. The problem was with their flesh. It had become weak at a time when it should have been strong.
In critical moments of life, it is not enough for the spirit alone to be willing. The flesh must also be willing.
The expectation was clear. They were also supposed to be in a prayer mode. But struggled with prayer till they slept off.
When Jesus returned, He diagnosed the problem. He said, "The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Your spirit may be ready to pray, ready to fast, and ready to obey God, but if the flesh refuses to cooperate, progress becomes difficult.
Many believers assume that one day their spirit and flesh will automatically come into agreement. It does not happen that way.
You make the flesh strong by refusing to feed it with the things that make it weak.
The second thing you must do is activate what I call the Word Flesh.

The Word Flesh vs Weak Flesh
The Weak Flesh
Jesus expected Peter, James, and John to pray with Him in Gethsemane. He did not take them there as bodyguards. He took them there because He expected prayer from them in that critical hour.
But instead of praying, they slept.

Weakness in the flesh is overcome by changing its appetite. You must change what you feed it. You must change its diet, its intake, and the things it has become accustomed to.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:27, "I keep under my body and bring it into subjection."
The God who moved yesterday is still able to move today. The God who fulfilled His word before will fulfill His word again.
If you have tasted of His power before, that experience must continue to strengthen your faith for greater things.

Numbers 23:19 strengthens my confidence in God's faithfulness. If God has spoken, He will surely bring His word to pass.
As I was praying today and meditating on that verse, another statement suddenly rose from my spirit. I said, "Because I have tasted of Your power."
We have seen Him work before. We have watched Him keep His word before. We have experienced His power before.
Because I have tasted of His power, I know what He is capable of doing. Because I have tasted of His power, I can trust Him concerning what I am believing Him for today.
Find a better time for prayer, and stop attempting prayer when you're tired from the day's work.
Let it become a sacred appointment between you and God. As you consistently meet God at your best time, you will build consistency, and grow spiritually.

Find The Best Time
One of the most important things you must do in your walk with God is to locate your best time for prayer.
Many believers desire a vibrant prayer life, but they never intentionally discover the time of the day when they are most alert, and most focused.
🧵
While God honours sincere prayer at any time, those moments are often not the best for building a strong and consistent prayer life.
Find your best time and plant your prayer there. Guard that time. Protect it. Build your schedule around it if necessary.
