Our future STEM workforce is looking bright 💡
I met with the finalists for Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow contest in Washington, D.C. to see how they are using STEM to solve problems in their own backyard.
Learning about the finalists' project was inspiring. One of the finalists from California even developed a program to help detect cancer symptoms before they arise!
I can't wait to see how this year's finalists continue to use STEM to make their communities safer and healthier.
Who remembers playing with Legos growing up?
For many, Legos are the (literal) building blocks for a future in STEM.
Between votes and committee hearings, I met with the Lego team in Washington to learn about how we can work together to make STEM education more accessible for all.
Students must have the tools they need to develop an interest in and pursue STEM as a career choice.
Huge congrats to all the STEM professionals behind the successful launch of Artemis II, @NASA and @LearnWithNASA for this historic mission!
This is STEM education in action, where curiosity meets courage and barriers are broken, the ultimate ROI. @WHOSTP@MichaelKratsios

Liftoff.
The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon.
Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap — astronauts on Mars.
