Dante Moore put his right knee to the ground beginning a sliding position, he got lower than the defender meaning he was getting down. When Moore was lower, the defender is still about 4-5 away from Moore he has time to not make this tackle.

He didn’t read Moore’s legs, he instead wanted a dirty hit to prove a point

When US flights were grounded on 9/11, 38 planes landed in a tiny Canadian town: Gander, population 10,000.

For a week the town hosted 6000 refugees, often refusing to accept any payment.

Later, passengers started a scholarship fund for Gander students that's still going today.

Pre-9/11, John O'Neill was the FBl's top counterterrorism expert. For years he warned that al-Qaeda was planning an attack in the U.S. No one listened.

So he retired in August 2001.

On 9/10/01 he started a new job: Chief of Security at WTC.

He died in the South Tower collapse.

In the chaotic days & weeks following 9/11, Sikh cabbies organized to provide free rides to ferry people to hospitals & to help New Yorkers stranded in lower Manhattan.

Regrettably, shortly thereafter these same Sikh cabbies faced a wave of Islamophobic & xenophobic hate crimes

300 search-and-rescue dogs were sent to Ground Zero to find living survivors. Because they were finding only dead bodies, they became discouraged & despondent.

Handlers periodically hid in the rubble themselves so the dogs could "find" a living person & get a reward/morale boost

An executive at handbag company Coach witnessed the 9/11 attacks from his NYC office.

He decide he had to find a concrete way to help.

So he designed and supervised the production of leather "shoes" for the rescue dogs so that their paws would not be burnt by the hot debris.

9/11 Victim 0001 - the 1st certified casualty - was Father Mychal Judge, Catholic priest & NYFD Chaplain. On the morning of 9/11, he rushed to the scene to administer last rites & give comfort.

When the South Tower collapsed, Father Judge was struck by debris & killed instantly.
