July 22, 1919 — After two airmail Pilots were fired for refusing to fly into fog, the entire Eastern Division went on strike. Fifteen Pilots had crashed in the prior two weeks due to weather. The dispute led to onboard instruments and Pilot authority over go/no-go decisions.
