Israeli occupation army escalated its sabotaging and demolition operations in areas occupied by its ground forces in South Lebanon, which forms about 7% of Lebanese official territories.

Speaking to Al Mayadeen on Tuesday, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that, with regard to #Lebanon, “it’s clear as day that the Lebanese government has been behaving as a proxy of the United States and has betrayed the country.”

He added that the Lebanese government has “effectively given the Israeli regime sovereignty over parts of Lebanon,” stressing that the Israeli entity has no intention of withdrawing.

Elaborating further, Professor Marandi referenced the “Greater Israel Project,” saying that it is now clear to everyone that the objective of the Israeli regime is not limited to southern Lebanon, but extends to the whole of Lebanon and Syria, as well as parts of Iraq, and even areas of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

Speaking to Al Mayadeen on Tuesday, Professor Mohammad Marandi said that #Iran never believed the United States would implement, or “at least easily” implement, the MoU.

He identified the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s nuclear program as Iran's main sources of leverage.

“If the Americans want to have any sort of agreement ultimately over the nuclear program, they have to implement the first phase of the deal,” Professor Marandi said.

He explained that if the #UnitedStates fails to fulfill its commitments under the first phase of the agreement, Iran could respond by limiting the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has extended its conflict-zone advisory until 8 July, warning international commercial airlines to entirely avoid the airspace over Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon. European regulators emphasized that despite the recently signed US-Iran framework deal, the regional security situation remains highly volatile.

The agency has urged extreme caution across the broader West Asian flight paths, citing the extreme fragility of the ceasefire and the constant threat of a sudden military escalation. Western aviation officials remain deeply skeptical of the sustainability of the Washington-Tehran truce, pointing to recent exchanges of sporadic fire as evidence that short-term violations are highly likely.

The restrictions apply to all flight altitudes over the three targeted sovereign nations.
