This man opened everyone’s eyes to how we can reshape our cities, and I and many generations of people are forever in debt for his vision for a brighter and cleaner future. May he rest in eternal peace.
Density is not overcrowding.
When we artificially constrain our housing supply, we force people into overcrowding situations as a result of a fear of adding modest density, often mislabeled as 'overcrowding.'

It’s nonsensical – and very dangerous – that cars can be driven 50+ mph over the speed limit.
In @voxdotcom, I wrote about the growing movement to require speed governors. 🧵

"we should recognize that when someone like a small child is involved, the 'safe road users' net is essentially made out of gossamer, so the other, higher layers better be made out of increasingly dense steel mesh."
We somewhat realize this with school zone speed limits
Interesting study finding that the built environment influences whether a person walking or driving is found at fault for a crash
Makes it even more frustrating when the built environment context is missing from crash reporting https://t.co/3Kpub34v83
