Happy Fourth of July from Sacramento State! πΊπΈππ
Wishing our Hornet community a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day. However you're celebrating, we hope you enjoy the day with family, friends, and community.
Happy Fourth of July! π
This Juneteenth, we celebrate progress and the transformative power of education.
Sacramento State has seen a 23% increase in Black student enrollment since 2023 and remains the first CSU designated as a Black-Serving Institution. Through initiatives like the nation's first Black Honors College, we're creating pathways for students to thrive, lead, and succeed.
Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of equity and opportunity for all.
As we reflect on the significance of this day, we also recognize the impact of Black women leaders who have shaped our communities through service, advocacy, education, and mentorship. Their leadership inspires future generations to dream bigger, lead boldly, and create meaningful change.

Advocating in DC regarding the newly released Protect College Sports Act with colleagues from @Fresno_State. Our goals are to ensure that student athletes are protected from abusive agents, transfer policies that reduce likelihood of graduating, and that we promote health coverage post-play. @sacstate
