@jjaron That algorithm is never going to offer you a debut from a totally unknown but dazzling new voice, for example. A dedicated bookseller (or which there are many) will, driven by a wish to broaden the reach of a new talent, show that book to you
@jjaron With a decent independent (for me anyway) it’s about curation. I can see and look through books hand-picked by booksellers passionate about reading. It’s - well - better than an algorithm.
