Open source freeware software to secure exam computers for e-assessment. SEB has a built-in kiosk browser which connects to web-based examination systems.
Please ask support questions in our forum or GitHub pages, see https://t.co/f2J2hW4kad. As a student, ALWAYS first ask your exam organizers for help, as we cannot give enduser support (only to exam administrators). We only support SEB itself, not exam applications.
When using SEB Server, the App Signature Key allows automated application integrity checks similar to the manual use of the Browser Exam Key (BEK). Additionally, the new server-driven BEK can be used for improved SEB Server integration with LMS/assessment systems like Moodle.
The major update Safe Exam Browser 3.3 for macOS and iOS improves accessibility and security and allows to export SEB settings as configuration links or QR codes.
Due to an issue in iOS 17, SEB for iOS can crash on some devices when any text input field is being displayed or activated (taking input focus). This issue should be fixed in the final version of iOS 17.1. Unfortunately currently no workaround is known. https://t.co/RUjNHfyWbx
