Great advice for additional details to consider documenting! Be sure to have time stamps and note who saw and was involved that may be able to speak on your behalf.
Dates, eyewitnesses, records of texts and phone call are all essential. Keep in mind also that if they are abusing you, they likely have abused others.Reach out to current and former students/postdocs.

@JRandal76 @LaurVieEnRose It really depends on your program and the faculty members. Iβve seen many students transition labs and many others who leave the program altogether as well. The reasons you present for your reasons for switching labs donβt have to be your real reasons either. Protect yourself.
@katestorrs@aifbw Yup! Our purpose to highlight how it is directly related to the mentor-mentee relationship, but it can other reasons, too. It's important to reflect on whether the feelings are advisor-specific, program-wide, or broader.
