After more than 10 years in this business, I decided to stop.

Last summer, I sensed I was on autopilot. I was no longer motivated by music. I knew that was bad, but I ignored it. Fortunately, some people made me realize I was on a path to nowhere, maybe even retirement. Despite a lot of resistance within myself, I ultimately checked out of the rat race.

I thought it would be a month, maybe two, but a year has passed. A year in which I faced my own demons, detoxed from social media, and learned that nothing is what it seems. In the end, I asked myself a simple question: “What do I like?”

I like music. It feels good to say it because I thought I didn’t.

I like music as a passion, as a hobby. That’s how it all began anyway.

I’m starting my final journey as Sak Noel, a journey from the outside to the inside. This is more for me than it is for you, but if you stick around, you may find we all like the same music.

The fastest way to kill a great idea is to ask too many people what they think.

By the time everyone approves it…

It belongs to nobody.

DJs love blaming the crowd for requests.

But if people keep asking you to play something else, part of that is on you.

You didn’t set the room. You didn’t earn their trust.

I’ve never seen anyone walk up to David Guetta asking for a request.

If your entire career is built around figuring out what’s next, who’s next, and how to game the system…

You’re not an artist.

You’re a worker.

In 2026 you need to stop producing music and start making music.

The window is closing.

Some of you still think those are the same thing.

I haven’t posted much because I’ve been out enjoying my summer tour in Europe.

First lesson:

The world is way bigger than you think.

Bigger than your city. Bigger than your scene. Bigger than your feed.

So stop worrying about whether there’s an audience for what you do.

Keep creating.

They’ll find you.

You want to cut through the noise?

First stop adding to it.

The internet will tell you to release more, post more, explain more, show more.

But if you’re only doing it to beat the algorithm, it’s still noise.

The way through is the same as always:

Have something to say and say it in your own words.

Even if it sounds stupid.

Especially then.

Stop saying you’re a Tech House artist.
Or an Afro House artist. Or whatever style is trending this month.

You’re an artist that makes those things.

Learn how to communicate that
or watch yourself get reduced to a genre tag.

Pro tip moving forward: if the promos you send me are too polished, I’m just gonna assume AI made them.

Send me the raw ideas. The unfinished ones. The mistake-ridden ones.

That’s what actually gets my attention now.

The industry keeps telling artists to “be themselves”

Then rewards the safest, least dangerous version of everybody.

That’s why so many artists are one honest record away from changing their life but will spend years conforming because it works well enough.

The scary part is that some of the music we used to clown 10 years ago would probably stand out today.

At least it had personality.

Hard truth: the most dangerous advice usually comes from people you never asked.

They don’t want to help you think clearer.

They want to install their fear in your head and call it wisdom.

After four years full of challenges and hard work, it's time to move on.

I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. 4 seasons, 3 championships.

I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days.
Catalonia is my place on earth.

99% of your career comes down to one thing:

Can you trust your gut
or are you going to keep buying whatever feel-good story they’re selling you?

Because the industry is full of people who sound smart while slowly pulling you away from yourself.

You need to be willing to look stupid for a while if you want to be taken seriously later.

The problem is you still care too much about what mediocre people think.

If I were to leave LA after 10 years, where should I go next?

Not for comfort. For the next level.

A city with real nightlife, international energy, and a music culture that actually matters.

AI is making intelligence feel cheap. Pattern recognition, learning, prediction… it’s all replicable.

So what exactly are we doing as artists?

Because if it’s just intelligence, that’s not ours anymore.

The weird part about evolving as an artist is that strangers usually understand it faster than people who already know you.

Because strangers meet you where you are now.

People who know you keep negotiating with who you used to be.

I’m proud of my legacy as an artist, but I don’t let it define me.

It might cost me opportunities in the short term,
but it’s still better than not evolving.

and I’m thankful for that.
