We are shocked by the shootings at Salsa on St Clair Saturday. Our thoughts are with the families of the 2 persons killed, those injured & everyone affected by this senseless violence. Due to the complex police investigations at the scene, the festival will not resume Sun July 12

I am disgusted and angered by the shooting at Salsa on St. Clair tonight.

My thoughts are with the families, friends and communities of those who were injured or tragically passed away.

This was a reckless, despicable act of violence at a crowded festival. I will ensure Toronto Police have every resource they need to find those responsible, and they will keep working around the clock to get guns off our streets.

I want to thank the police, paramedics and firefighters for their fast response to this emergency. They head towards danger when we need them most and I am grateful for their service to the people of our city.

I am horrified by the shooting that has killed two people at the Salsa on St. Clair Festival in Toronto.

My prayers are with the families grieving their loved ones, those who are in critical condition, and everyone who has been affected by this horrific event.

My thanks to the police officers and other first responders whose courage and fast action prevented further tragedy. Police have my full support as they work to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
