@_F_B_G_ I trust you will address congregations using this approved gibberish.
“Let us soak-it-all-in”
“We soak-it-all-in for the King, and his ministers.”
Sam Barker @SamBarker2HB prosecuted two men for shocking mass stabbing after a botched robbery in the City of London, securing 17 year extended sentences for each. The judge awarded £7500 from @cityoflondon for members of the public who tackled them.

@LeonNathanLynch Leon - the Met responded to this with a fierce denial; I’m not up on the material enough to see whether that holds water, but it sounded as though the basis of the story was nonsense. I’d be glad of your view of their reply
@TweetingYet Because I now am up at night wrestling a tiny human to sleep, I have time to read this nonsense.
I think there’s been a foul up. The guilty plea fee (45% of the brief fee) and the brief fee are the same in every case, if you look. There’s been shoddy copy + pasting going on.
On the face of it, this is a massive rejig and reduction in complex cases.
No consultation was done, as far as I recall - it was just said to be an application of a 15% increase! This looks like a huge fee reduction to me.
