The full story of my run-in with an AfD heavy ahead of a decisive election in Saxony-Anhalt with the far-right party clearly ahead.
What I wanted to @SamCoatesSky about – (some shock, a sore arm and determination to show what happened) - is how thin the line of tolerance for media doing a reporting job can be, when a narrative is being played up that “mainstream media” are the enemy .
And that is something German authorities will need to take more seriously than they did here to protect basic reporting freedoms.

Lee Anderson, the chair of Reform UK, is speaking to Sky News this morning.
Asked about the report last night on Channel 4, appearing to show Reform officials James Orr, the party's head of policy, and Dan Jukes, a close aide to Nigel Farage, arranging for a US company to fund three polls for the party costing a total of £32,500.
Anderson confirms the party has launched an investigation, and Orr and Jukes have been "told" to step down.
He adds that there is "no chance" of them coming back.
Jukes has been one of Nigel Farage's closest allies in the background of Reform UK.
Asked if more senior staff - like Farage himself - should take responsibility, Anderson says "it wouldn't be fair" for him to comment in the media "until the full investigation is completely over".
