India’s largest Agri enterprise, Samunnati is an open agri-network to unlock the potential of Indian agriculture with smallholder farmers at the centre of it
Samunnati has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Coromandel International Limited, one of India’s leading agri-solutions providers, to transform input access for Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and rural agri-communities across the country.
Through this partnership, we are bridging a critical gap in the agricultural value chain by combining Coromandel’s world-class crop nutrition and protection portfolio with Samunnati’s extensive institutional FPO network.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Coromandel International Limited for their trust in this Partnership. As pioneers in crop nutrition and leading manufacturers of fertilizers, Coromandel’s deep field expertise and technical strengths will be instrumental in driving last-mile technology adoption, product demonstrations, and sustainable practices.
This collaboration is a massive step toward Samunnati’s core vision of driving collective prosperity and making markets work better for smallholder farmers - building a more resilient, efficient, and tech-driven agricultural landscape in India.
Together, we are empowering FPOs to become self-sustaining engines of growth.

As climate challenges reshape agriculture, building resilient farming ecosystems is essential for securing livelihoods, strengthening food systems, and creating long-term prosperity.
At Samunnati, we believe that economic progress and environmental sustainability go hand in hand. By enabling access to knowledge, markets, finance, and ecosystem support, we strive to empower farmers and agri-enterprises to adopt practices that enhance productivity while preserving the resources that sustain us.
Every sustainable choice—from conserving water and improving soil health to strengthening climate resilience—contributes to a future where agriculture thrives in harmony with nature.

We remember with deep respect and gratitude Sri. S. Loganathan Ji, fondly known to many as Annachi, a gentle institution builder whose simplicity, humility and unwavering commitment to rural communities left a lasting imprint on countless lives.
At a time when Samunnati was still shaping its early journey, Annachi Ji stood beside us not merely as a collaborator, but as someone who deeply resonated with the very spirit and vision of inclusive agricultural transformation. He believed that true transformation begins with trust – trust built patiently with farmers, communities and grassroots institutions. Long before ecosystem thinking, collective participation and FPO-led development became widely discussed, Annachi Ji was already living those ideas through action.
His contribution in establishing and nurturing Samunnati’s first Centre of Excellence - Sarva Seva Samunnati Farms at Pooriyampakkam went far beyond infrastructure or implementation. He helped shape it into a living ecosystem of learning, collaboration and dignity for smallholder farmers. What stood out most about Annachi Ji was not authority, but authenticity. He carried immense wisdom lightly. He listened more than he spoke. He led without seeking visibility. And yet, his influence travelled far through every farmer he encouraged, every institution he strengthened and every partnership he inspired.
He constantly thought ahead of his time advocating collective strength, ecosystem collaboration and market-led empowerment for rural communities much before these became mainstream development narratives.
For many of us at Samunnati, memories of Annachi Ji are inseparable from conversations rooted in purpose, ideas centred around farmers and an unwavering belief that institutions must ultimately serve people with humility. His legacy will continue to live through the communities he strengthened, the relationships he nurtured and the values he quietly embodied every single day.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, well-wishers and the countless farming communities whose lives he touched.
Thank you, Annachi, for showing us that the strongest leadership is often the quietest.

India’s women farmers feed a billion people. 🌾
They manage land, labour, seasons, and uncertainty, and through all of it, they are also mothers shaping futures with quiet resilience and strength. They are caregivers, decision-makers, and torchbearers for the next generation, carrying the responsibility of both today and tomorrow on their shoulders.
For millions of women in rural India, thinking about the future has always been an act of courage. Whether it is planning the next crop cycle, managing the household, or ensuring their children have better opportunities, every decision is rooted in hope and responsibility.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who sustain not just families, but entire communities and economies. Through initiatives like PFRDA’s NPS Vatsalya, Samunnati, as a Point of Presence (PoP), is furthering access to long-term financial security solutions for rural and agricultural communities across India.
Wishing all mothers, especially the women farmers of India, a very Happy Mother’s Day. 💛

Mother’s Day is a moment to celebrate the people who think about tomorrow before anyone else does. 💛
For millions of families across India, thinking about tomorrow isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Yet, formal tools for long-term financial planning have rarely been designed with them in mind.
This Mother’s Day, PFRDA and Hindustan Times have launched a meaningful nationwide initiative, “Secure the Love with NPS Vatsalya”, bringing conversations around children’s long-term financial security to families across the country through schools, communities, and digital outreach.
As a Point of Presence (PoP), Samunnati is proud to partner in this movement and contribute to expanding awareness and access to NPS Vatsalya across India.
NPS Vatsalya is a PFRDA-backed pension savings scheme for minors that enables parents or guardians to start building a long-term financial corpus for their child from an early age, through small, consistent contributions over time.

Strengthening Social Security for Farmers — Continuing the NPS Awareness Journey in Chhattisgarh
Following a successful session in Raipur on May 6th, the NPS outreach series continued yesterday in Bilaspur, bringing together FPOs, farmers, bankers, and ecosystem partners to strengthen long-term financial resilience.
Agriculture has often lacked structured old-age income support, leaving smallholder farmers vulnerable to seasonal and unpredictable income cycles. The National Pension System (NPS) offers a practical, flexible, and secure way for farmers to build a stable future—and Samunnati, as a Point of Presence (PoP), is committed to expanding this access at the grassroots.
Across both locations, our teams facilitated learning sessions alongside representatives from PFRDA and NABARD, engaging with farmer collectives to deepen the understanding of why retirement security matters as much as the current harvest. By helping farmers access the stability of a structured pension, we are working to ensure that prosperity extends beyond their active farming years.

Not all FPOs are at the same stage, and neither are their needs.
At Samunnati, we believe that the right support at the right time can transform how Farmer Producer Organisations grow, compete, and create impact.
Our FPO Assessment Framework is designed to decode where an FPO stands today and shape its path forward. From strengthening the basics to enabling scale, it helps build resilient, market-ready institutions that truly work for smallholder farmers.
Because when FPOs grow stronger, entire value chains become more inclusive, efficient, and sustainable.
If you are an FPO, financial institution, donor, or ecosystem partner looking to engage with or strengthen farmer institutions, this framework can support your next step.

Understanding FPOs requires going beyond numbers.
As Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) evolve into structured enterprises, the need to assess them in a more holistic and standardized way becomes critical.
In our latest blog, we explored why traditional metrics fall short and how a more comprehensive approach can explain the true potential of FPOs, balancing governance, market linkages, capacity, sustainability, and financial health.
At Samunnati, our work with FPOs has shown that when they are understood better, they are supported better, leading to stronger, more resilient farmer collectives.

Enabling climate-resilient livelihoods for smallholder farmers continues to be a critical priority.
Recently, at an ecosystem convening by Mann Deshi Foundation held at the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samunnati Foundation contributed to conversations on climate finance.
Representing Samunnati, our CEO of Samunnati Foundation, Poorna Pushkala joined the panel on “Climate Financing for Smallholder Farmers”, sharing insights on how value chain finance can enable farmers to effectively manage working capital needs and reduce risk across the agricultural cycle.
The discussion highlighted:
• The role of value chain in strengthening farmer-level liquidity and market linkages
• The importance of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) as anchors for last-mile access
• Samunnati’s approach to engaging smallholder farmers through FPO-led aggregation models
• Advancing inclusion, with a strong focus on women farmers
• The power of aggregation in building scale, resilience, and efficiency across value chains
At Samunnati, we continue to work at the intersection of agriculture, finance, and climate resilience, enabling farmer collectives to adapt, thrive, and build sustainable futures.

Healthier farmers build stronger ecosystems.
On World Health Day, it is important to recognise that the well-being of farmers is closely linked to the health of our food systems.
From soil health and safe agricultural practices to financial stability and access to better markets, every element plays a role in shaping healthier livelihoods.
At Samunnati, we believe that strengthening agriculture goes beyond productivity. It is about enabling systems where farmers can work with security, access better opportunities, and build resilience for themselves and their communities.
Because when farmers thrive, the entire ecosystem becomes healthier.

Reimagining How India Trades Agricultural Produce
India’s agri markets are vast, dynamic, and constantly moving.
But behind this scale lies a challenge: fragmented trade flows, limited visibility of demand, and inefficiencies that slow down how produce moves from farms to markets.
Farmers grow.
FPOs aggregate.
Buyers exist.
Yet connecting the two, efficiently and transparently, remains a gap.
This is where Samunnati’s Output Marketplace comes in.
Designed as a digital B2B trade platform, it connects FPOs directly with institutional buyers, bringing structure to how agri produce is discovered, priced, and traded.
With verified participants, transparent pricing mechanisms, and streamlined workflows, the platform helps FPOs reach wider markets while enabling buyers to access reliable, aggregated supply.
The result?
▪️More visibility.
▪️Faster trade cycles.
▪️Better price discovery.
▪️Stronger, more efficient value chains.
At Samunnati, we believe that when markets become more structured, opportunities become more accessible — for every stakeholder in the ecosystem.
Because efficient markets don’t just move produce, they move possibilities.

Where does value get lost in agriculture? It depends on how we look at the system.
At the ET Edge Global Sustainability Alliance AgriFood Systems Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Anil Kumar SG, Founder & CEO, Samunnati, highlighted that the challenge is not just fragmented landholdings, but a fragmented agri-ecosystem.
Agriculture operates like a relay race, from inputs to post-harvest, finance, and markets, with value passing through multiple stages. At each transition, there is a risk of value erosion, especially when these elements function in silos.
Even simple improvements, like timely access to quality inputs or better post-harvest handling, can significantly influence outcomes. But the real shift lies in moving from isolated interventions to connected value chains where production, finance, and markets work in sync.
Because improving farmer income is not about fixing one part of the system, it is about strengthening the entire ecosystem.

Today at Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Samunnati joined PFRDA and NABARD in advancing an important mission, enabling farmers, FPOs, and those engaged in agri & allied sectors to build long-term financial security through the National Pension System (NPS).
For many smallholder farmers, income cycles remain seasonal and uncertain, making retirement planning a challenge. As a Point of Presence (PoP) for NPS, Samunnati is working to bridge this gap by enabling awareness, access, and enrolment support for structured pension solutions at the grassroots.
The outreach programme at Shivam Vivah Bhawan brought together representatives from PFRDA, NABARD, banks, government departments, and FPOs to strengthen understanding and adoption of NPS.
Amit, Area Business Head - LHFPO, represented Samunnati at the event and shared insights on how FPOs can play a key role in expanding pension inclusion and improving financial security for farming communities.
