I can't understand why so many people (esp from southern states) made a big deal about this tweet. Every heatwave I've ever been in across the 5 states I've lived, I've gotten alerts from the power company. Plus, 78 is what I default to anyway.
How is this due to socialism?
New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool.
Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can.
Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment.
A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.
All of this stuff with Sorsby and the gambling makes me think back to Art Schlichter, the star OSU QB in the 80s who was picked number 4 by the Colts and blew his career gambling. Reading Wikipedia, I had no idea how bad it got and how bad it still is!

How can you not love this team (unless you're from San Antonio)? Never gave up & fans were insane. We were just treated to history.
Brunson went to Nova & plays for the Knicks. In the 90s, that was evil to me.
Now? New favorite player.
Joy to watch & a genuine guy as well.
Even as a lifelong Knicks-hater (for all those years against the Alonzo Mourning-led Heat), I am truly happy for their fanbase. It's been way too long for the Finals to come to NYC. It's a fun team to watch and should be a great series, regardless of who is out of the West.

Had the pleasure of working at Turner Broadcasting for three years, long after Ted Turner left. However, his influence was still there and the stories I heard about him from the old timers were pure legend. A truly one of a kind individual. RIP.
If you're mocking this guy, you've got issues. He's 20 yrs old and was just picked in the 1st round of the NFL Draft (right at the end when it looked like he might have to wait til Day 2). Most people will never feel that level of emotion. Expecting veteran answers is stupid.
TRENDING: This video of Tennessee #Titans first-round pick pass rusher Keldric Faulk has gone viral across social media.
One of the weirdest interviews you will see immediately after a player is selected.
🤔😳
@vlalla Cam needs weapons. Wandale (your old guy) is great as a slot, but they need a downfield receiver. They got their edge later in the 1st and already have FAs and their 2nd round pick from a yr ago. I'll take a flyer on Tate and hope he can he a Chase to Ward's Burrow...
Draft Day is my reward for gutting through a tough yr as a Titans fan. Even at number 4, I have no idea who they'll pick. One of the edge rushers would be great. Cam could use a WR. And then there's Jerimiyah. I'd love to get a Titans jersey with "LOVE" written on the back.
Um...
1. He went 4th.
2. This is the guy who pledged everything on Johnny Manziel. Why do people listen to him?
3. His entire career is a joke. He is a Cowboy bitch who knows nothing about the rest of the league. Why does the world give his opinions oxygen?
Sorry, but to bash the Rooney Rule is to not understand it. Interviewing a full roster of candidates and not being myopic is not reverse racism or quotas, it's equal opportunity. It would be different if it dictated who you had to hire. https://t.co/gsP5qyFqpi

Income tax makes Seahawks less competitive, huh?
"Seahawks were 1 of 8 teams with no income tax: Raiders, Texans, Cowboys, Titans, Buccaneers, Dolphins and Jaguars."
7 other teams & only 1 has been in a Super Bowl in the last 25 yrs. Nice try.
Taking paternity leave was one of the greatest gifts I ever got from an employer. Changed my life.
It should be noted that he took leave in '23, came back, signed Darnold over Cousins, & won 14 gms in '24.
I wish the Titans braintrust took paternity leave these last few yrs.
𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: Former Vikings’ GM Kwesi Adofo Mensah took two weeks of paternity leave in 2023 after the birth of his first son, and many around the league were in disbelief that he did, per @DMRussini and @alec_lewis
“In an NFL culture where many players, coaches, and executives proudly acknowledge missing the births of their children, taking time away to care for a newborn and support a partner remains uncommon. Among some rival executives and coaches, it was met with disbelief.”

This is a really fascinating case. I don't see him winning, but it makes a lot more sense now than five years ago.
Can you imagine? Lebron has four year of eligibility. He is gonna play for Ohio State. It'll be like that Brian Cox Uber Eats commercial.

Cam Ward was not available for selection to the Pro Bowl because he's still recovering from the shoulder injury suffered in Week 18. However, that won't stop engagement farmers from trying to make you mad. Ignore them.
I'm assuming this is a joke or a mistake. Heck, Phillip Rivers deserves it more than him. Not being a hater (Cam Ward is injured, so I'll assume that's why he didn't get it), but Sanders had one game that was worthy of accolades and that against the Titans.
True confessions: I thought Sam Darnold was a mistake for the Seahawks and, while I knew Vrabel would be a great hire for the Patriots, I thought he'd manage to mess up Drake Maye. Two huge swings and misses. At least I knew Smith and Carroll would be a disaster in Vegas...
