Hiii so I've been adding to these crazy flowers across two days because even though the painting itself is so painless to make, layers take SO LONG to dry! I loved the process and I didn't use any real life pictures so it's quasi-abstract.

Prisons are filled with men because they run on emotions. If men controlled their emotions half as well as women do, the number of men going to prison every year would be much lower.
This woman was raped at Cornell. She explains that her rapist got an essay - just like Jane Doe's case.
A CNN investigation found that "half of the 16 Cornell University students found responsible for sexual assault over a recent 4 year period avoided suspension or expulsion. Instead, they were punished with written reprimands, disciplinary probations, and extra study programs."
Sure, the problem is the girl living alone and not the fucking sick degenerate who wants to break into her home, always blaming the victims, what a surprise. Should men be born freely or from jail? That is the true question.
Women are the primary protectors of women and children. Men are the primary predators of women and children. Men rape across every country, culture, and religion. There is no place on earth that mothers don’t have to protect their children from men.
It’s very interesting how so many men think of rape/assault as simply a legal line you can’t cross because then you’ll get in trouble. There’s no moral component at all to them.
“You're lucky if we don't straight up make rape legal.”
And there it is. It’s not that women are liars, it’s just that we’re supposed to be “lucky” rape isn’t legal.
Rape is perhaps the crime that best shows the inherent flaws of human society. It is one of the worst things you can do to a person, completely unnecessary, and never justified. It is widespread, commonplace, and typically the victim winds up worse off for attempting to seek justice.
What comments like this illustrate is that, at some level, humanity simply accepts a significant baseline level of horrifically coercive and trauma-causing behavior so long as that behavior is sexual, done by people we view as normal and sympathetic, primarily aimed at people that we find it easy to revoke sympathy from, and hidden from view so we do not have to confront the toll our nonaction extracts on a greater scale.
This flaw in human reasoning is so endemic that even rape victims have a tendency to feel this way about their own rapists: justifying their own rape as deserved by their own actions or omissions and thus concluding their rapist does not deserve punishment.
I do not know what it is about the societies we live in that make this type of thinking so universal. But we need to work to change it.
'He forced her to perform oral sex on him while she was crying. Despite her pleading him to “stop, I don’t want this”, the boy forced the victim to continue, all while keeping her away from answering her phone which kept ringing during the ordeal'
The judge spared him prison.
It’s actually really, REALLY weird that men are having an aggressive response to women’s outrage over the Cornell 7.
Someone explain to me exactly how and why it’s a bad thing to be angry about this horrible crime? Explain to me like I’m 5.
Women make up the majority of live organ donors and blood donors.
They do the majority of elder care.
They do the majority of child care and unpaid labour.
They are 10x more likely than men to care for a dying spouse.
They know that woman isn't Jane Doe and they don't care. They keep circulating her image around, along with messages demeaning her, to send a message to other women: If you exist in public this will happen to you. If you try to seek justice this will happen to you.
