[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

Thanks so much to my two wonderful colleagues , English teachers @sanquharacademy @miss__weldon and Mrs Low who were super supportive and encouraging to all our S1s this afternoon.

[Miss Weldon @miss__weldon]

🎉 The S1s had a brilliant time celebrating European Day of Languages! 🇪🇺 They played French & Spanish games, danced to songs and got involved in fun, language-themed activities. 🌍✨Thank you @sanqacadlangs for organising this - it was great to see everyone taking part!

[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

Hoping that @miss__weldon will allow us to have a regular modern languages slot at this wonderful new club!

[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

Congratulations to S6 pupil Jorja from @sanquharacademy who, moving on from Higher French last year, has been successful in achieving Level 7 Intermediate French(YASS course) with @OUScotland @DGCEducation

[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

We are extremely proud of all our pupils who were a credit to the school and their families. Special thanks to Roddy from @Skisupremeuk for his expertise and for accompanying us on the trip.

[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

We took 68 pupils from S1-S6 to Paris from 2nd to 5th June.. Many of our pupils had never been abroad or flown before. We all had a great time taking a Seine river cruise, going up the Eiffel Tower, spending a day at Disneyland and visiting the Louvre.

[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

Mrs Smith , Mr Coleman, @aprilmcguchan , @MrGibb_music , @MissDV_History , Miss Dickman @HWB_Sanquhar , Mr Hannah, Miss Lambert and our BSL communicator Mrs McFegan all took great care of our young people. Many thanks to @HetheringtonMrs and @DGCEducation for their support!

[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

Many thanks to Roddy and Mark from @Skisupreme for taking the time to visit @sanquharacademy to finalise details for our Paris trip in June. Looking forward to welcoming you both back at the end of April for our next information meeting for parents and carers.

@MissDV_History @sanquharacademy We really enjoyed your visit, also your encouragement and support of our young people was outstanding! We are fortunate to have staff who are happy to share good practice as we can all learn from each other to improve learning and teaching @sanquharacademy and @DGCEducation

[Language Learning @sanqacadlangs]

@sanquharacademy @dgcouncil 38 years is a wonderful achievement! Thanks to @rodgerphhill for supporting my study with @OUScotland to gain my additional teaching qualification in Spanish. As a result our young people are benefitting and we have an unprecedented 8 dual linguists in S3 this year.
