Next big storm is due to arrive this evening, with rainfall totals expected to be 3" in the City and up to 6" in the mountains. Heaviest rain will be during tomorrows morning commute. Drive with caution.

@santacruz_fire SCFD responded to reported structure fire at a hotel on Riverside Ave at 6:56am this morning. The first arriving engine company found a fully involved unoccupied passenger van. There were no injuries and fire damage was contained to the vehicle.
