Sorry but not surprised to see Rosie Galligan join her partner Marlie Packer at Harlequins next season.

Thanks to the Red Roses second row for all she’s done in her second stint at the club.

Perhaps one day she might come back again 🤞

ROSIE TO QUINS - WE WILL MISS YOU

After confirmation that her partner, Marlie Packer, has joined Harlequins Women, the SSA is sad, but not surprised, to hear that Rosie Galligan is returning to join Quins too, leaving Saracens Women at the end of the 2025/26 season.

She is stepping down from rugby for now and Into a spell of maternity leave.

28 year old Rosie is a Rugby World Cup winner in 2025, her second competition, with England Red Roses.

This ends two spells with Saracens Women with one at Harlequins Women in between.

The athletic lock forward started her rugby life at Aylesford Bulls and also represented England U20s before graduating into the senior Red Roses.

It hasn’t all been been plain sailing for Rosie, as a bout of meningitis in September 2019 was followed by a serious injury in January 2020 when a fall in a line-out caused a broken leg and ankle along with three ruptured ligaments.

It was a truly horrible scene for those who witnessed it.

Rosie first joined Saracens Women for the 2016/17 season, and was part of two Premier15s titles, now PWR.

She first signed for Harlequins in June 2021, returning to Sarries for the 2023/24 season.

Rosie, is currently expecting her first child and Marlie’s second.

She has always been, popular, friendly and responsive with supporters, and we will miss her.

Thank you Rosie Galligan, for all you have done.
