@kimberlyarchie Kimberly, we sat in on an incredible insurance presentation today.
Liability doesn’t seem to be an issue insuring leagues, so what exactly is your point?
@ChrisNowinski1@AspenInstSports The report clearly states this.
“The chart above tells an interesting but nuanced story, shaped by the historic challenges & opportunities presented by COVID-19. Not surprisingly, 2020 produced many data complexities, making it very difficult to compare to previous years.
@ChrisNowinski1@AspenInstSports 2020 was a Covid shutdown year and most youth sports did not have a season across the Country.
The numbers are actually representative of that especially the decline from the year 2019.
Most people won’t blink when seeing this judgement by the California Appeals Court on Archie vs Pop Warner.
“The district court granted summary judgment to Pop Warner because Appellants’ causation experts rendered unreliable & thus inadmissible opinions.”
We mobilized 451 youth football organizations and we consist of 6,262 members strong! We have 16,132 petition signatures- all from the NY State football community. How about we set up a true public hearing on this proposed ban? @DickGottfried@Benedetto4NY@mikebenedetto82
You know banning youth football is a fraud agenda when 9 year olds are still boxing.
“Damon Flores improved his boxing record to a near-perfect 20-1 after winning a pair of prestigious titles in a two-week span.” https://t.co/ft9EMwNepM @SaveYFNY@savefootballMA@USABoxing
“As a little loop player myself growing up in East Aurora, I vehemently oppose the ban on youth tackle football,” said @DiPietro4NY, Republican Assemblyman representing the 147th District. @Benedetto4NY@NYYFAlliance@saveyouthfbca@NewYorkHSFB

@mikebenedetto82 can you tell us why youth 🥊 is ok, but not youth 🏈?
“The program is 10 weeks long and open to children 7 to 12 years old. Children under 10 years old, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.” https://t.co/qOMVk9uFtG @NYYFAlliance@saveyouthfbca
Why is @mikebenedetto82@Benedetto4NY not trying to ban bike riding? He says he cares about kids safety but he’s decided to ignore all the other head injury children receive from all kinds of other sports. @nypost
“and the No. 1 culprit is cycling with 40,272 incidents. Football comes a distant second, with 21,878 incidents reported. And yet no one is calling for a ban on bikes.” https://t.co/7fE8gGLBNK @nypostsports@SaveYFNY@savefootballMA
Listen to this @Benedetto4NY the California Government passed a protect youth football bill and you are trying to ban it. Do the right thing and stop your ban youth football insanity. @saveyouthfbca
“Children between the ages of 5 & 14 account for nearly 40 percent of all sports-related injuries treated in hospitals. On average, the rate and severity of injury increases with a child’s age.” https://t.co/KTO8SocGZZ
See this @Benedetto4NY you are wrong just as the other States that tried and failed to ban youth tackle football. End this insanity and pull your bill. @NYSA_Majority
If only these ban 🏈 happy politicians would focus on real health issues effecting kids, we all might be better off.
“In 2017, suicide was the second leading cause of death for children aged 10 to 14, teenagers 15 to 19, and young adults ages 20-24.”
https://t.co/qXq9787rYB
An average of 2 million kids under 14 have played youth tackle 🏈 for the last few decades, that’s around 20 million people & we still have not found this so-called “epidemic” of brain damage in these people.
Let us know when you find it. @SaveYFNY@savefootballMA#notaproblem
Ban, ban, ban......oh, wait a minute.
“there is no clear evidence to indicate an age at which kids should begin activities associated with potential brain injury risks, such as tackling in football and heading the ball in soccer.”
