One member of the Western Interior Seaway was Protostega, the second-largest turtle ever (~3.4 m across!). Based on bone microstructure, they matured rapidly and had an elevated metabolism similar to the modern leatherback.

Jenna Miller, our New Brunswick specialist, was named as a GenAction Climate Hero!
The @action_gen Climate Hero Challenge by @science_east encourages middle and high school students to conduct projects related to climate change and to interview their local climate hero.
We just confirmed that the one and only Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space is going to send us signed books to be auctioned off at our Gala!
