In my experience, the most common difference between amateur and pro writers is that amateur writers tend to write simple characters with complext plots, whereas pro writers tend to write simple plots with complex characters.
@CrazerArts Nobody recognized him in the Jury pool waiting room either. I never said anything to him. The book he was reading was by Jorge Louis Borges.
I was called for Jury duty with him in Burbank.
We sat across from each other, both reading, all day.
Minutes before 5pm, a voice called out names to immediately take a bus to Glendale for a trial there.
They did not call my name.
They called his.
He did not look happy.
I see Christopher Nolan at AMC Burbank 16 fairly often. I remember when we watched AIR together. When realization hit we were watching the same movie in the same auditorium, it blew my mind. Dude just loves movies.
JD Vance: "I think Nixon's historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12 hours news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy."
the gorge (2025) directed by scott derrickson is NOT talked about enough. it was one of the most visually stunning movies i’ve seen in awhile, with insanely badass creatures, and a kickass storyline.
It's hard to believe Arclight Hollywood has been abandoned for 6 years. 14 screen multiplex on Sunset Blvd just sitting empty frozen in March 2020... It was the highest grossing theater in USA. So strange. @ArcLightCinemas
Really insightful piece from @Hershal_P. Also telling that a lot of filmmakers he reached out to didn’t want to talk about it. Status is still so important in the film world.
