@NYSLabor Do we need to do anything to receive the backdated benefits? After waiting for 3 weeks the system finally let me claim benefits, but only for the week ending 4/26. There are 2 prior weeks I’m eligible for. Will I automatically get that $?
@NYCMayor Mr Mayor, please have NYPD enforce face coverings with joggers & cyclists, along with everyone else. I walk along Hudson River park and the number of them passing by huffing & puffing is really infuriating. They're not going to change their behavior unless you fine them.
@NYSLabor I was finally able to claim benefits (for week ending 2/26), but I have two prior weeks to claim and the website says to call in for that - however the phone system is completely unclear as to how to submit for prior weeks. Please advise. I sent a DM already with this question.
@NYGovCuomo@NYGovCuomo Thanks for implementing this, but it would be great if you extended it to everyone in public spaces - outdoors as well. I go along the Hudson River in Manhattan and the amount of joggers and cyclists who aren’t covering their faces is troubling, and frustrating.
@NYSLabor@NYSLabor I received the robo call telling me that my online form was received and that I no longer need to call. However, how do we check the status of our claims. When I go to "Unemployment Services" on the website I get the attached msg.
@NYSLabor Does this apply to people who completed the initial online portion prior to this new system being in place? If so, is it 72hrs starting from this morning (including the weekend)? I know UI benefits are retroactive, but what about the $600/wk from Fed?
Just saw the wonderful documentary @Jaymyself2019 about @JayMaisel. If you love art, photography, NYC history, and crazy real estate stories, go see it. It's playing at the @FilmForumNYC through Aug 13th. Congrats to @swilkesphoto for making this film.
“Maybe I would like to go back to when I was a boy. After that I learned too many things, and they came out in my music. So now I refine and refine until I can get back to the simple truth.” - João Gilberto, from a 1968 interview with the NY Times. RIP #JoaoGilberto
Mayor De Blasio, what do you plan on doing about the issue of NYPD looking at their cell phones instead of doing their jobs? How about no phones allowed while on duty? #AsktheMayor
It was a quiet night at the Open Door, a jazz club in the West Village, with Thelonious Monk, Roy Haynes and Charles Mingus on the bill, and hardly any patrons. But then Charlie Parker showed up. https://t.co/pelNbxQBlD
I try to never miss an opportunity to see an exhibition by this great master and one of my artistic heroes. There’s also a film festival going on about him at @AnthologyFilm this week. At… https://t.co/uaeOUDSAzT
Saw a really nice documentary on the life of Bill Evans last night. Can't believe I didn't know about it sooner. "Time Remembered" on Amazon Prime Video. If you dig Bill Evans, it's a must see! Thanks for the work @billevansfilm
Thanks @gilbertogil for reminding me it’s João Gilberto’s birthday today. Gil started playing guitar because of João, and I became passionate about Brazilian music because of João. This video is a trip! Valeu Gil! Parabéns João! https://t.co/yibrzyyAl7
