It’s not just Starbucks. Customer service is a lost art. I’m not sure if it’s not being taught or if the race to efficiency no longer requires it. The least expensive aspect of it - a smile and basic engagement - will always provide the biggest return.
In our city, the customer experience at @Starbucks has never been worse. Average products that are overpriced and staff that come off as bothered and disinterested. I get more value and a better experience getting machine cappuccino at the gas station. 1/
