In my 21 years I’ve only had one encounter with an assignment project where the producer hired their kid, then 5 months later my agent calls me to start from scratch on the assignment because the producers child was not able to deliver a serviceable draft.

Had other colleagues share other stories of nepotism. Most of them end with the nepo-baby not pursuing further.

@DavidCoggeshall @LukeBarnett Correct. But they would get mad if they had the skill, talent, and drive, but we’re passed over for a family member that just “had an interest”, those situations happen, but so long as the creative doesn’t give up, they’ll break through. It’s endurance, not haste.

A lot of folks have asked why I jumped into the #SaveStargate campaign.

Truth is, this was never about how many episodes I appeared in.

It was about supporting friends, standing behind a cast and crew I respect and recognizing one of the most passionate fan communities out there. The Stargate universe has meant a great deal to a lot of people for a very long time.

When people care that deeply about something and work that hard to keep it alive, I’m happy to lend my voice.
