"Politics will only be over when Jesus comes and establishes the fullness of his reign. Until then, the most fundamental question for Christians is if we're faithful."
"If you care about the shaping of society, if you care about righteous laws, if you care about whether unborn human life is going to be defended or expended, if you care about the definition of marriage, guess what? You're political."
@DemarsSean@ThemBeforeUs Thank you for this. We are like-minded. Is there a place in which you share your views against "Ethical IVF"? I am preparing for a podcast on the topic and have my own research but would love to hear your take.
@SteaknShake Well this was timely! During play time, we tried to make a large American flag outside of @SteaknShake! (The tractor is bringing 100% grass fed and grass finished burgers) 🇺🇸🍔🚜🐄

“Calling the question” is an ordinary part of ordered democratic debate. All it means is that you are asking the body if they want to continue debating or not. If they want to continue, then debate continues. If they don’t, then debate ends.
That’s all it is.
I’m thankful for the overwhelming support to move ahead so that we can vote on the Truth and Unity Amendment tomorrow morning. Plan to be there by 8am to vote for the amendment. Let’s get this thing done. Please be in the room early—ready to vote—so we can get this done.
I want to thank so many of you who have reached out personally to congratulate us and assure us of your prayers. We are humbled and accept this opportunity for service knowing it is a stewardship for which we will give account. I want to congratulate my brother, Josh Powell, and his wonderful family for his exemplary conduct and efforts during this season.
My esteem for him has only grown and I know he will be a voice in Southern Baptist life for years to come. We need 1000 pastors like him.
I want to assure all Southern Baptists, those who voted for me and those who didn’t, that
our desire is to serve our Lord and you and my prayer is indeed that God will bring us into a season of reconciliation and renewal. It is my hope to listen and to serve and I ask for your prayers, your patience, and your continued cooperation as we continue in the good work God has given us to do.
I’m proud to announce that I have officially qualified as a candidate for Florida Governor.
We’re not letting our foot off the gas — we are going to continue making our case in every corner of this great state.
I’ll never stop fighting to make your life more affordable and defend the Florida Dream for the next generation.
