This Pride Month, London stands with our LGBTQI+ communities here and around the world.
I look forward to seeing hundreds of thousands of Londoners and visitors taking to our streets in celebration and solidarity for Pride in London on Saturday, 4 July.
💜 Happy 4th Birthday to the Lizzie Line! 🎂🥳
4 years old & carrying around 800k passengers every day 🚆
From calm to chaos in seconds, we might complain about it, but Londoners love it 💜
🎁 Watch to the end to see what presents I got Britain's favourite four-year-old!
Would 🇬🇧 be forced to join Schengen and the Euro to rejoin 🇪🇺? The question is decisive. According to @YouGov when those conditions are presented support for rejoining declines from 54 to 36%. Below is a thread based off my latest piece for @ArguablyMag showing if you look at the treaties 🇬🇧 would not in fact be forced to actually do so. Politically the path to Europe is open. https://t.co/sPYUQjG1Sk
Not everyone grows up with access to affordable places to swim.
That’s why I’m excited that soon the Mayor of London @SadiqKhan will be announcing our new plan to clean up London’s rivers and create more swimmable sites across our city 🏊🏻♂️
My heart goes out to the family, friends and colleagues of Sergei Krajev, and all those affected by this appalling and senseless attack.
There is zero tolerance for violence and abuse on our transport network, and a man has now been charged in connection with this incident.

Delighted to be at Kew Gardens today with @MayorofLondon to launch the new Weekend Hopper fare.
The new fare will make it even cheaper and easier to travel around London, so everyone can enjoy all our great city has to offer this summer!
The EU flag is flying at Hungary’s parliament again after Péter Magyar was sworn in as prime minister — the first time it’s been displayed there since Viktor Orbán had it removed in 2014.
Sometimes, we might take the EU for granted.
But imagine Europe without the EU.
What if the things that quietly protect and empower us every day suddenly disappeared?
We must protect what matters to us.
This Europe Day, let's celebrate our unity.
Today is Europe Day.
And Ukraine is marking it not formally or through sloganeering, but fully aware that we are already an inseparable part of the European family. We are defending Ukraine, our independence, our future – and in doing so, we in Ukraine are defending our Europe. A Europe of which Ukraine has been and will remain a part.
From the first days of the full-scale war until today, Europe has stood with Ukraine. And this is not charity – it is a choice made by Europeans: to stand on the same side as the brave and the strong – the Ukrainians who are fighting today for peace and true protection against tyranny, not only for themselves, but for the entire continent. And we will inevitably defend our state, our people, and our right to freely choose our future – a future in Europe.
Glory to Ukraine!
Following the horrific terrorist attack yesterday in Golders Green – which was the latest in a series of antisemitic attacks in our city – Jewish Londoners understandably and rightly want to see more action, not words.
My statement:
There has been an appalling attack on two Jewish Londoners in Golders Green. The police have made an arrest and I’d like to thank all the emergency services and heroic volunteers from @Hatzola@ShomrimLondon in the area for their swift response to this horrific incident.
I’m in close contact with the @MetPoliceUK, who will be providing further updates.
London’s Jewish community have been the target of a series of shocking antisemitic attacks. There must be absolutely no place for antisemitism in society. The Met have stepped up high visibility patrols in the area.
I urge anyone who has any information to call police on 101, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
WHAT HAVE WE JUST WITNESSED? 🤯
Sabastian Sawe has just become the first person in history to run a sub two-hour marathon in race conditions.
Yomif Kejelcha was also under two hours for second!
Delighted that @TfL will reopen the A40 Westway this evening after critical safety works.
These upgrades will keep one of London's busiest roads running safely and reliably for years to come!
A40 update: Westway reopening update 📣
The A40 Westway between the Westway roundabout and Marylebone flyover reopens tonight after works to replace end-of-life structural joints on one of London’s busiest routes (up to 96,000 vehicles daily).
From 24 April, there will be a series of localised weekend closures at the Westway Roundabout.

Minister for Employment Dame Diana Johnson visited @TfL to hear how they’re encouraging people with health issues to stay in work

I’ve made some decisions… the time has come for you to see London the way Mama Ru does
From one icon - London’s transport system - to another @RuPaul: Shantay, you Stay!
Good luck! And don’t f…
