Does anyone put there know if @VIA_Rail still has any corridor trips using Renaissance fleet? Would like to book a trip before these are potentially removed from service. The Ocean doesn't quite count.
@OhUrbanity In 2017 a Florida traffic engineer presented a series of intersections equipped with red light cameras that yielded a higher frequency and rate of injury crashes, contrary to the trend, and couldn't figure out why. I reminded him of the four-minute traffic control signal cycle...
@TheRandCrews@not_taylorx I wondered the same thing. Detroit thinks they can get 5-7 more years out of the TTC fleet because of the recent refurb, whereas SkyTrain Mark Is don't seem to suffer the same track issues as in Toronto.
@bmdoucet A similar tune was sung about the original O-Train alignment that went "from nowhere to nowhere" (i.e., terminal ends were two Transitway stops, despite linking both to a major trip generator - Carleton U)...at a fraction of the cost by using an underutilized single-track railway
Also, routed via Hurontario, QEW, 427, Cloverdale Road, East Mall, East Mall Crescent and Dundas to the Kipling terminal to shave time off of a direct shot across Dundas.
On board the first 21S Kipling GO special this morning. As of Cooksville, with myself included, there are only three passengers on board. Wondering why they didn't just do direct service to Union this weekend to better relieve the replacement Lakeshore shuttle buses.
@zanesloanbc@lifeisafestival I really wish I knew that this was something that you were interested in while we were at TAC - I've been lucky enough to perform this twice in addition to Striggio's "other 40 part motet". We have lots to discuss next year in Vancouver!
It's 9:08am on a Saturday morning, and a great day to be onboard a northbound train heading towards Stouffville to explore. Though weekend trains previously came here until April, few ran past Mount Joy, and certainly not earlier than 5 or 6pm in the northbound direction.
It’s #ThrowbackTuesday and we’re revisiting Architecture Week that took place at the Creative Commons at our Hazel McCallion Campus back in October 2022! It was a day full of inspiration, innovative designs and creative visions. Were you there for Architecture Week? ✏️🏨
@credsell@bmdoucet To be fair the heat over here hasn't traditionally been this bad, but when they renewed the entire trolleybus fleet from the old 1970s stock within the last two decades I thought for sure that a/c would be a default!
