I have started adding in some Npcs and animals to the towns.
However, in order to keep the animations/detail smooth I have scaled them down by 50 percent from the original size they were drawn at resulting in different sized pixel art (oh no, breaking the golden rule!!)
My question is: Is it super noticeable or looks bad?
The reason for scaling down was to use the same party sprites that we are using from the dungeons/combat so we can keep everything consistent for each party member among the world map, towns and dungeons.

Another portrait painting process. Unfortunately wasn’t recording at the initial sketch phase but I like this one a lot.
(Worst part of not working on my game for over a week now is I already designed a battle system for a new game in my head now oops)

Revenant Pixel Art Animation Update
Added some post process effects and noise along with some subtle pixel movement using After Effects.
Discovered you have to render as a .png and reassemble in Aseprite to avoid quality loss along with changing Layer Quality settings.
