Here's my take on the Cornell 7:
The group chat and the way more guys got pulled into that room were gross.
Gross and criminal are not the same thing.
She told police the start with two of them was something she was okay with, and a couple days later she texted that the sex was "not illegal."
Later, the story changed and she said most of it was not consensual.
The men say what they did was consensual, or that they were not involved. Nobody has been charged, and there is no verdict.
I am not calling them innocent or guilty until the actual evidence is tested.
Their conduct was ugly and disgusting. We do not yet know if it was a crime.
Those who are in control only silence that which they fear.
This is only proof that our freedom of speech is working.
If we want it to remain free, we must continue using it.
Let them be afraid.
Why should we not fear our government using mass surveillance technology for malicious intent?
They have already made it pretty clear that they will attempt to control the population with every chance they get. We shouldn't give them any more chances.
