Nebraska's latest abortion report should be a wake-up call.

Abortions increased 7.9% in 2025, with 83% committed using Chemical Abortion Pills.

3 reasons to care why abortions rose 8% in Nebraska in 2025:

1. Out-of-state residents drove the increase while abortions for Nebraskans went down. Women from Iowa and South Dakota were the main drivers of the increase.

2. Abortion pills were involved in 83% of Nebraska abortions. That's much higher than national estimates of about 2/3.

3. Nebraska has some of the best abortion data in the country. That makes it a good predictor of national trends flying under the radar.
