The India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) marks the beginning of a new chapter in the economic partnership between India and the United Kingdom.
As two major and complementary economies, India and the UK have laid the foundation for a stronger and more dynamic partnership. The encouraging response from industry on the first day, with several export consignments moving under CETA across sectors, reflects the readiness of Indian businesses to leverage the opportunities created by the Agreement.
The focus now is on ensuring effective implementation so that these opportunities translate into greater trade, stronger business partnerships, increased employment and sustained economic growth for both countries.
