On @SkyNews Press Preview, I spoke about the government’s #RwandaDeportation policy:
“There are reports that children could be deported there. We need a humane immigration and #refugee system in this country that is aligned with the law and aligned with decency and human rights.”
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is joined by Gary Lineker for the Morning Pitch ahead of the World Cup final.
Lineker: "When you score at a WC, it's an explosion of emotion. I imagine it must feel like hearing that the rent guidelines board has decided to freeze rent for two years."
Apparently, Lamine was a bright-eyed boy until he held up a Palestine flag. Then, he became controversial.
The journalists who make a living romanticising athletes like Muhammad Ali are the first to punish those who try to use their voice for something meaningful today.
The attack began near a mosque & ended with 5 people injured. Last night’s midnight bulletin on Radio 4 had the story half way down the running order and this morning’s 9 am bulletin had a 20 second read
Very little attention in UK media thus far to this story - low prominence, few details of injuries, who the victims are, where they were when the attacks took place, community reaction https://t.co/Lm2Bg1XSZv
Ali Bani Odeh, 37, his wife and two of their children, 5 and 7, were killed in the West Bank's Tammun when Israeli forces fired on their car.
Two of the children, Mustafa and Khaled, survived the attack to tell the story in full.
Israel soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian couple and two of their young children last night (15 March).
Last night, around 1:30 A.M., Israeli troops operating in the village of Tamun in the northern Jordan Valley opened heavy fire at a vehicle driving inside the village. In the vehicle were members of the Bani ‘Odeh family, who were on their way home from shopping in Nablus for the ‘Eid al-Fitr festivities marking the end of Ramadan later this week.
The shots killed ‘Ali Khaled Sayel Bani ‘Odeh, 38, his wife, Wa’d ‘Othman ‘Aqel Bani ‘Odeh, 36, and two of their children: ‘Othman, 6, and Muhammad, 5.
After the shooting, soldiers removed from the vehicle two other children, Khaled, 11, and Mustafa, 8, from the vehicle, both lightly injured by shrapnel. The soldiers violently interrogated the elder boy at the scene. Initially, the forces prevented ambulances from reaching the area, and only after some time were medical teams allowed to approach. The troops confiscated the family’s vehicle, which was riddled with bullets.
Since the beginning of the Israel-US attack on Iran on 28 February, Israel has killed 13 Palestinians in the West Bank. Of these, 8 were shot by the military, including 2 minors, and 5 were shot by settler militias. The most recent victim prior to this incident was Amir Mu‘tasem ‘Odeh, 28, who was shot and killed yesterday (Saturday, 14 March) in Qusra, Nablus District, by a settler militia that attacked the town.
Since the beginning of 2026, Israel has killed 24 Palestinians in the West Bank. Of these, 18 were shot by soldiers and 6 by settler militias.
This is part of Israel’s violent campaign of ethnic cleansing, which has intensified during the attack on Iran. Under Israeli rule, the lives of Palestinians are treated as entirely expendable.
FIFA and UEFA presidents are accused of aiding war crimes and crimes against humanity over the support of Israeli football clubs in occupied Palestinian lands. Al Jazeera’s Nour Hegazy examines the legal questions this historic case raises for global sports institutions.
From start to finish, it lasted 11 minutes, 57 seconds. Calm, lucid, striking to the absolute heart of the matter.
Were you watching, Jose Mourinho? Because you might have learned something.
Some managers might not have wanted to embroil themselves in the politics of publicly challenging Mourinho for his comments following the alleged racial abuse of Vinicius Junior by one of his Benfica players on Tuesday night.
Some might have considered it not worth the hassle to fight someone’s battle.
Kompany, thankfully, is among those who understand this should, in fact, be everyone’s battle.
