The tiny spacecraft that refused to die.
Launched in 1977, Voyager 1 has become one of the greatest achievements in human history , still traveling through deep space nearly 50 years later. More than 15 billion miles from Earth, it continues sending data home using only 69 KB of memory, an 8-track tape recorder, and software written in Fortran — a programming language created decades before modern smartphones even existed.
Originally designed for a short five-year mission to explore Jupiter and Saturn, Voyager 1 far exceeded every expectation. In 2012, it became the first human-made object to enter interstellar space, crossing the boundary of our solar system and venturing into a region no spacecraft had ever reached before.
Even today, its faint signals take over 22 hours to reach Earth , a whisper from the edge of the known universe. Every transmission carries priceless scientific data about the mysterious space between stars, helping humanity understand the cosmos in ways once thought impossible.
Voyager 1 is more than a spacecraft. It is a symbol of human curiosity, resilience, and the idea that even our smallest creations can travel farther than we ever imagined.
An incredible moment in one of the great quarters a player has had in league history.
Disappointing to have it end the way it did, but grateful to have been on the call for a late game performance that won’t be soon forgotten.
You're looking at one of the rarest things ever photographed from space.
A red sprite — a 50-mile-tall electrical discharge that fires upward out of a thunderstorm into the edge of space. It exists for milliseconds. Nitrogen molecules in the mesosphere glow pink for a fraction of a heartbeat, then it's gone.
NASA astronaut Nichole Ayers caught this one from the ISS, over Mexico and the US.
Lightning we know. This is something else.
NASA Just Dropped the Closest Photo Ever Taken of Jupiter — And It Looks Like Pure Art
This is not a painting.
This is a real photograph of Jupiter, captured closer than ever before. From just 4,400 miles above the gas giant’s swirling clouds, NASA’s Juno spacecraft has revealed a breathtaking masterpiece of chaos and beauty. What appear to be delicate, artistic brushstrokes are actually massive Earth-sized cyclones — violent storms larger than our entire planet, raging with unimaginable power. The colors, the textures, the hypnotic swirling patterns… it’s almost impossible to believe this is raw reality captured in space. Jupiter isn’t just a planet. It’s a living, breathing storm world showing off its wildest side.
NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft finally reached Pluto and showed us its true face, After traveling for nearly 9 years through deep space and covering about 3 billion miles, a breathtaking icy world with giant mountains, smooth frozen plains, and secrets no one expected.
Released!
We've already taken in 188 injured/orphaned raptors this year! Our goal is to return as many of these as possible back to the wild. 43 of 2026's patients have already completed their rehabilitation and been released back to the wild! Show here are just some of them.

I know Pope Leo XIV to be a kind, open, humble, modest, decisive, hard-working, straightforward, trustworthy, and down-to-earth man. A brilliant choice. May God bless him.
Hiking at our national parks is one of my favorite things to do, and Apple Maps has thousands of amazing trails and hikes to discover. Happy #NationalParkWeek!
50 years ago today—March 16, 1975—The Bionic Woman made her debut. What a journey! I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to have played Jaime Sommers, and to all of you who’ve kept her spirit alive for five decades. Here's to strength, resilience, and heart. -L🌷
Quantum Entanglement ✍️
Quantum entanglement is when two or more particles become so deeply connected that the state of one instantly determines the state of the other, no matter how far apart they are. This strange connection baffled even Einstein, who called it "spooky action at a distance." While it can’t be used to send information faster than light, entanglement plays a key role in quantum technologies like super-secure communication and powerful quantum computers.
