Yesterday we had Omni Air N378AX at Shannon coming from Pope Army Airfield in North Carolina. And Omni Air N486AX from Baltimore.
Both were US troop carriers.

Another US troop carrier coming into Shannon Airport.
Every day, in 'neutral' Ireland. Permits for weapons on board granted by Minister for Transport.

So the government isn't proceeding with the legislation to remove the triple lock, for now at least.
Not surprising given the level of opposition to the proposal in Fianna Fail. And let's hope the legislation is gone forever now, not just delayed.

White phosphorus causes deep, severe burns that are difficult to treat when it comes into contact with human flesh. It also harms to the respiratory tract when inhaled.
And yet Israel uses it indiscriminately.
We were back at Shannon today demanding an end to the US military use of the airport.
Earlier in the day Omni Air troop carrier N486AX passed through. Yesterday Omni's N423AX landed.
Assisting a foreign army is not how a neutral country should behave.

Calling every Palestinian in Gaza “Hamas” has normalized every killing, rape, torture and act of destruction. Forgive us, Marwa, Motaz, Montaser,& the dozens of thousands already lost -along with the millions still trapped in this genocide- for being so late, slow, and complicit.
As Ireland’s Historical Connection To #Lebanon Ends With Ending Of @UN#UNIFIL Peacekeeping Operations -South Lebanon Is Being Ethnically Cleansed By #Netanyahu -Meanwhile, Cluster Munitions Allowed Thru Irish Airspace For Use Against Lebanese & In Proximity To Irish Peacekeepers
We are 100% opposed to the removal of the triple lock. Successive Irish governments, all involving FF and/or FG, have acted in bad faith regarding our neutrality. And this is another step in their support for violent EU/US/NATO conquests around the globe.

US Air Force GLF5 C37B 20-1941 landed at Shannon about 17.06 on 8 June from Pristina Kosovo. It took off about 18.31 heading west towards the US.
US Air Force Boeing 737 09-0540 landed at about 06.20 from Camp Springs Washington. It took off about 08.41 and flew on to Ankara.
All four are operational US military flights. Approved by @dfatirl and Minister @HMcEntee.
And all four breach Irish neutrality AND the government's policy with regard to military flights. [3/3]
Two more US Air Force Hercules C130's passed through Shannon today (4th June) - RCH679 & RCH680 (reg: 95-1002 & 96-1006). Both flew from Ramstein to RAF Mildenhall in England to Shannon. And from Shannon they went on to St Johns in Newfoundland. [1/3]
So in 2 days, Shannon has had four C130 Hercules aircraft of the 133rd Airlift Wing of the US Air Force. This unit is based at Minneapolis–Saint Paul Joint Air Reserve Station. The two from yesterday are already back at their base after a refueling stop at St Johns. [2/3]
@worldpaulcarr@RachelMoiselle Why don't you drop out to one of our monthly peace vigils, Paul. We can explain the origins and history of Shannonwarch to you then.
RCH670 and RCH578 leaving @ShannonAirport this evening. Two US Air Force Hercules C130's. Both arrived from a NATO air base in Italy earlier today. And it's clear from the call signs that they are on milirary operations.
@MichealMartinTD@HMcEntee Whats your explanation?
@JohnCleese@Neilsweeney26 You're missing quite a lot John. And misrepresenting a lot (probably intentionally).
So disappointing from someone we used to respect. Many, many years ago.
Very regressive move. The triple lock does NOT determine where our troops go.
Removing the need for UN mandate means @FineGael or any other party in government can make a decision to support a neo-colonial move on territory or resources anywhere. The Irish people do not want that
