The Government of Sindh has achieved a historic milestone with the completion of over one million houses under the Sindh People's Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF), marking a landmark achievement in the world’s largest housing reconstruction initiative.

This achievement sets an unprecedented benchmark for the scale and pace of post disaster housing reconstruction globally, reaffirming the Government of Sindh’s commitment to rebuilding lives and providing safe and sustainable housing for flood affected families.

In the meetings with Robin Shen, Chief Executive Officer of Yutong Bus Manufacturing Company, and Liu Zheng, Vice President of Higer Bus Company, in Shanghai ,We discussed the induction of electric and double decker buses to Sindh’s public transport system.
The discussions focused on modernising public transport, promoting green energy, and providing the public with modern, efficient, high quality and environmentally friendly transport facilities. Company representatives assured that the first batch of buses would be delivered in November 2026.

The Sindh Government strengthens pathways to employment, skills and professional growth for young people through #iWork4Sindh, connecting students, fresh graduates and early-career professionals with employers while aligning their skills with market requirements.

With more than 5.19 million visits, 136,547 registered candidates and 721 companies, the platform expands access to employment opportunities and professional development. It has posted 31,270 job opportunities and offers more than 1,800 internationally recognised short training courses, creating greater opportunities for young people to build skills and pursue careers.

The Government of Sindh is organising the Sindh Investment & Trade Conference in Shanghai, China, on October 15, led by Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah.

The conference will provide a platform to showcase investment opportunities in Sindh and strengthen B2B and G2G cooperation with Chinese investors. Key sectors include energy, manufacturing, electric vehicles, digital technology, artificial intelligence, agriculture and logistics. This initiative aims to promote investment, expand economic and trade cooperation between Sindh and China, and create new opportunities for economic growth and employment.

Sindh is advancing key initiatives in investment, energy and education. Thar Coal has emerged as a game changer for Pakistan’s energy sector, contributing around 14 percent of the country’s electricity generation, with approximately $1 billion invested in its projects. The third Sindh Vision event will also be held in Sukkur in November.

Sindh government is also constructing 1,100 new schools across the province this year. Through these efforts, the Sindh government is working to expand investment opportunities, strengthen the energy and education sectors, and improve public services, with a broader focus on creating opportunities for the people of Sindh and contributing to Pakistan’s overall economic development.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated Phase III of the Thar Block II Coal Mine and Pakistan’s first Coal Drying Unit. With production rising from 7.6 to 11.2 million tonnes annually, Thar Block II will support 1,980 MW of power strengthening Pakistan’s energy security through indigenous resources.

The 550 bed Surgical Complex at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Karachi, is providing patients from across Pakistan with advanced medical and surgical care free of cost. Patients are receiving specialised treatment, including robotic surgery, cancer care, complex surgeries, medicines and other essential healthcare services. They are also receiving dedicated care and support from qualified doctors and medical staff.

Patients are expressing their gratitude to the Government of Sindh for providing modern healthcare facilities and free of cost treatment. The GOS remains committed to providing accessible, quality and modern healthcare services to patients across the country.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated Treatment Plant-I at Haroonabad, Karachi, under the Greater Karachi Sewerage Plan (S-III).
With an initial capacity of 35 MGD, the plant will recycle wastewater for industrial use, particularly in SITE, reducing pressure on freshwater resources and preventing untreated sewage from flowing into our waterways and the sea.

A major step towards a cleaner, greener and water secure Karachi.

With 21,233 active job openings, 718 registered companies, 471,000+ job applications and 1,800 courses underway, alongside the new AI-powered Auto CV Creator, young people are gaining better access to skills, jobs and career opportunities.

A new era of women’s empowerment and mobility has begun in Mirpurkhas. In line with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision of empowering women through greater freedom, opportunity and participation, the Government of Sindh has distributed free Pink Electric Scooties to women, creating new avenues for safe, dignified and independent mobility. The initiative is advancing women’s access to education, employment and economic opportunities, enabling them to move forward with greater freedom, confidence and independence.
