In partnership with the Makueni County Government, the Permanent Presidential Music Commission successfully facilitated a Capacity Building Workshop for Makueni County Musicians held at Acacia Hotel, Wote on 7th May 2026.
The session featured Sharon Watta, Deputy Director of Training and Research at the Kenya Copyright Board Kenya Copyright (KECOBO), who led conversations around copyright, intellectual property protection, and the importance of rights awareness within the creative industry. Mike Mutenyo , Digital Distribution and Music Business Consultant, facilitated discussions on digital music distribution, music business strategy, and artist monetization in the modern music economy. Renowned vernacular artist Biez Kaviru also shared practical insights drawn from his personal journey and experience in the industry.
