The Defence Secretary resigned 3 weeks ago because he was being forced to make decisions that would make our troops and our country less safe.

Today Labour is publishing a Defence Investment Plan that is barely half what the armed forces say is needed, and well below what our allies are spending.

Starmer is no longer the real Prime Minister. But he’s underfunding our military in his search for a ‘legacy’. If Andy Burnham has signed off on this, then he too is culpable of putting our service personnel at risk with this weak plan.

We need to cut benefits to fund our armed forces. It doesn’t matter who leads them, the problem is Labour MPs who won’t do what is necessary to defend our country.

The hordes of Labour MPs rushing to twitter to whine about me calling her “spiteful” are just exposing their own hypocrisy.

They love to dish it but they can’t take it.

Rachel Reeves’ parting gift to Britain looks set to be a further tax raid on savers.

Labour’s tax changes are a double whammy for savers - cutting ISA allowances while raising the tax rate on savings interest. Now it looks like even investment ISAs will not be safe.

Labour are punishing people who have done exactly what governments have long encouraged them to do: work hard, save, and get ahead.

Appointing Peter Mandelson…then lying about what had happened

Britain is not ungovernable. Keir Starmer is a terrible Prime Minister. But the problem isn’t just Starmer.

Labour MPs only want higher taxes to hand out more benefits, as the Welfare Secretary has pointed out. These are Labour’s choices and their values, regardless of who is running the party.

We need to get Britain working again. We need the @Conservatives.
