@greygardens7@TheBoysTV what? the show always made it clear that she still loved Marvin; she just couldn't handle his supe obsession. With both Todd and Homelander dead, it makes perfect sense to get back together
Today, we mourn the loss of a true American hero, and a friend to us all: Homelander.
Homelander was more than just a symbol; he was a protector, an inspiration, and he was a cherished friend of our CEO, Lex Luthor.
Let his legacy inspire us to build a brighter future, a world where hope triumphs over despair, and where heroes like Homelander are never forgotten.
Rest in peace Homelander
The Boys isn't one of my all-time favorite shows or anything, but like 95% of the criticism of the recent season I've seen seems to be coming from people who are just half-watching the show and scrolling through their phone. Like what is going on
@VoughtCrave Not only have I loved every episode, but I genuinely can't wait for the show to end so I can binge the whole thing from the very beginning. There are so many references, Easter eggs and plot points from the earlier seasons that I vaguely remember. Honestly can't wait!
@DaniNMills@ungildedWings I don't think Antony was even in the room cos he'd no idea they'd shot this outtake when Jensen was asked about it during one of their joint interviews
@vap0r1@therealKripke@TheBoysTV@PrimeVideo The Pitt was the #1 show in all of streaming that week. So by your logic, every other show or movie on streaming that week also sucked cos they were beaten by The Pitt?
@Baheet_@hypetribeng Cos The Deep is way stronger and more durable than Noir II? How is this a question? It's been obvious since Noir II was introduced. Also, lots of supes are bullet-proof but that doesn't mean they can't be stabbed. A diamond-tipped knife and enough force would be all you'd need
@DMC0821@VoughtCrave Exactly! Plus the show has made sure to tell us several times that Soldier Boy is the one person whose actions and motivating she can't predict. He's the whole reason she involved Ashley (well more accurately Bashley) at all. It's no surprise that he ended up f**king up her plan
@cowgirl_bebop Exactly! I mean of course Homelander called himself Soldier Boy's upgrade; that doesn't actually mean it's true! That's what he's been told his whole life but the show has gone out of its way to show us how that might not be necessarily true and people think it's bad writing π
@cowgirl_bebop they had examples from virtually all seasons (Homelander's sensitivity to high-pitched sounds, his relatively delicate ear drums, his vulnerability to gases etc) but they consider it bad writing that the show contradicts something a not-particularly truthful character once said
@cowgirl_bebop I saw a video the other day about how the show's writers kept contradicting themselves and the example the video gave was of Madelyn Stilwall saying Homelander had no weaknesses. Next, they had a compilation of all the times the show had put Homelander's weaknesses on display
