I wouldn't make too much of his 10-2 record this year, zero ranked wins, weak OOC schedule, in a very top heavy Big 12 but the guy knows how to coach and has been successful at a place with limited resources for a very long time.

If Whittingham is the guy at Michigan that's a damn good hire. His no nonsense approach will help bring stability to a program rocked by scandals the past 3 years. He can help right the ship in Ann Arbor and eventually leave it in better shape.
