A good friend, community member and training partner is dealing with an unimaginable loss. If you're able to help (donate or share) it's appreciated https://t.co/T4uD70bSic
I was able to reach a new pr this phase. It’s my first time breaking over 2100. Really proud of the progress ive been making. Big shout out to all my training partners
Always glad to see dojo content making Cammy players out of the players. 🐈
Really awesome to see concepts we're applying in our lessons taken to heart and showcasing some fundamentals.
so interesting posting sagat being busted clip and the replies is just dudes acting as if im just a dumb woman who doesnt know the right option and their right option is “why didnt she throw a can down??” “you could have walked forward” like ok man u know more than me for sure
Not sure why everyone wants to use this to cope with why they are bad at the game. Personally i like SF6 ofc they’re some dumb stuff that gets me salty. Just cause i say something in a video after playing in tournament doesn’t mean its true or i believe it. 99% of the people on twitter just parrot top players but in reality yall can’t win with throw loops deive rush v system it doesn’t matter so for 99% of you stop trying too find something too help you cope with because you are ASS.
@Satorhaa knowing the proper terminology for the systems allows you to talk to other players with a shared language. A lot of people intuitively learn this stuff from trial and error, but they dont have the shared language to talk with other players about it. Thats the important part
@Satorhaa in my experience, when people say its important to learn frame data, generally I think most people are referring to the latter. Not about knowing every startup\active\recovery (you can always google this after the fact), but rather understanding how turns\links\cancels work
@feederino1 right but that conversation is easier to have if you have basic understanding of frame data.
"Why can't I press there?"
"oh yea I'm plus, its my turn"
instead of
"Why can't I press there?"
"I dunno, try hitting other buttons"
people really be saying that you don't need to know framedata as long as you know what you can punish and what buttons are plus.
Can you explain to the class how you know what is punishable and what is plus?
(1/2)
@feederino1 most people talking about not knowing frame data really mean they don't have the language to talk about it, they've figured it out themselves through brute force/intuition
which is fine! but that doesn't make the frame data disappear
@feederino1 it's like rhythmic notation in music, yea you can figure it out by ear for sure, but if you can read the notation you can just read it and know how it works.
just cause you can't read music doesn't make the rhythm bot important
you may not need to know the start/active/recovery frames of every move, if you're intuitively learning what is punishable/plus you are still using knowledge of frame data.
sure don't try to memorize everything, but knowing you see a -5 move and punish with 5f is good enough
@Lazyboredom vsync has a habit of turning itself back on after patches, driver updates, or if your game gets set to windowed mode. I start gaslighting myself once every 6 months til I realize vsync is on again.
