Incredibly disturbing, this lady is not an intelligent person. She clearly has no mastery of facts. But the reflexive anti-Semitism she has picked up from party leadership is very disturbing.
Republicans may not deserve power, but neither do they.
folks are not prepared for how unhinged the 2028 Democrat Primary is going to be…
Dem voter supporting Graham Platner in Maine…
Nazi tattoo: no big deal
Israeli flag tattoo: deal breaker
@comradetrend@CliffordAsness Did you know applying a standard to Israel and Jews that you would not apply to any other country/people is antisemitism...
@PFOInvestor@HML_Compounder@grahamformaine They do know, but the classic antisemitic trope of dual loyalty is on full display here. To anti semites all Jews are secret agents of the state of Israel.
Graham is an old school Marxist- Leninist anti-semite.
@choffstein@bennpeifert Can't say I have too much sympathy for anti-semites. I find many of his views repugnant.
He is also very aggressive about and has had some pretty disgraceful exchanges over the years.
Smart guy with some incredibly unlikeable character flaws.
@FrankLuntz Democrats think they would win, the reality is if they changed the rules, strategies would change as well. Republican voters in California, New York, and other liberal states would actually show up to the polls. Furthermore candidates would just campaign in these states too.
@EconomPic@MebFaber If your point is that treasuries and bonds have horrendous tax treatment compared to modern equity investments I agree.
If you are suggesting there is not a risk premium for duration, I think that is a tough sell.
Duration has attractive properties for building a portfolio.
@powermps@rawsalerts Your logic makes no sense. So they don't send their navy when Iran establishes a blockade but they would against the US Navy...?
That seems manifestly crazy.
@levellre@rawsalerts But the Iranians are allowed to do it. If Iran is going to blockade allied countries oil shipments, why shouldn't the us do the same?
Would you prefer they bomb all the refineries instead?
@ptuomov@komonews The most straight forward example of the coercive power of the state.
The people who make these laws hate anyone with means, yet at the same time concede they are wholly dependent on them.
@JackFarley96 I think the only thing we have discovered here is that market return observations are not IID. I don't think any practitioner would argue that.
Hard to do much with it though because these relationships are not temporally stable over long periods of time.
@bpalm20@EricBalchunas@kgreifeld What may seem like an eternity to us (20 years of returns) is statistically a small sample.
I also find it hard to believe that there is a structural mispricing of the Nasdaq 100 that will allow for persistence of excess returns into the future.
There is no jedi wisdom here.
@EricBalchunas@DilksJay@StockNews690137@kgreifeld There is nothing "managed" about it. It's a growth stock index.
The narrative around this index is silly. It has done so well because the best performing equities have been large/megacap tech.
I'd venture to guess you would have done even better owning the "Nasdaq 10".
