If a landlord refuses to rent to you or treats you differently because of how you pay rent, you may have experienced #SourceOfIncome discrimination. Landlords can ask how a tenant supports themselves & can require proof of income, but cannot treat types of income differently #KYR

In IL, landlords cannot require you to pay w/wage income ($ from a job) & must accept lawful non-wage income. We're working to enforce protections, educate, & support organizing so everyone has a fair shot at safe, stable housing.
