Tonight, 5 crews + Command Officers attended a fire involving a commercial unit & several vehicles, Pontesbury. Assertive firefighting reduced the risk of spread to fields and other property. We will be on scene for the next couple of hours, some resources being released.
Update: Crews have continued firefighting overnight to contain the spread of fire. We had amazing support from the local community/ farmers 'thank you'

We are currently in attendance in Clunton, South Shropshire at a large fire involving wood pile and woodland. Wind is creating challenging conditions for firefighting operations. We have 8 fire engines + support crews.
