🐕 Why are Indian dogs on the streets?
Because during colonial rule, the British promoted foreign “purebred” dogs for status, while our native Indian dogs were pushed outside homes. Result: the only dogs without a place in their own country are our Indian desi dogs.

📊 Who bites more?

Majority of serious bites (face, neck, upper body) are by PET breed dogs, not community dogs.

Community dogs (desi) usually nip feet/legs when threatened.

RTI from AIIMS confirms:

1. Bites are counted by vials (up to 5 vials = 1 bite 🤯).

2. No separation of pet vs street dog bites.

3. Prophylactic doses = counted as “bites”.

4. Monkey, rat, cat, suspected bites all clubbed together!

👉 Conclusion: Dog bite data is inflated up to 5X & wrongly blamed on street dogs.

3 one month old pups were thrown in a garbage dump, tied in a sack hoping no one would find out & they’d die.
Garbage collectors untied them & fed them for 4 days until I rescued & got them home.
