It's an interesting research but I am not sacrificing my favourite chocolates even if you tell me some lousy politician, extremist, tyrant or communist leader enjoys the same brand of chocolates.

@democrazydead@khalidkarim I live in Penang and I can guarantee you Penangites aren't expecting more buses. If buses are the solution, they would've solved the traffic problem years ago. Bring more buses here and they will be stuck in the jam too. Bring the LRT.
@saranghaey_ How many cars vs Penangites in 2024?
State Road Transport Department (JPJ) director Adenan Md Isa said as at June 2021, there were 2,778,681 private vehicles registered in Penang, slightly more than double the state population of 1.3 million.

@slainthayer The traffic looks bad like this in Butterworth's Jalan New Ferry all the way to Jalan Perusahaan in #Perai and to the #Penang Bridge toll plaza every workday. Many other places on the mainland experience bad traffic congestion like this. We need the #LRT on the mainland too.
Phase 2 of the Penang LRT network would involve building a new line between KOMTAR and Penang Sentral, linking two major transport hub in the state
since EIA/SIA hasn't started yet, I doubt it will finish by 2030
Pesta site as a TOD, like KL Sentral. Mixing rail transport and property development is the way to go. Hong Kong has done this successfully for years. Go, #penanglrt!
