At the start of the month Brent oil hit $70.14 and the fuel price for August was expected to drop by another ±280c and diesel by ±425c.
Brent is now $97.74 and next month's petrol price is set for a ±56c drop and diesel expected higher by ±63c.
All because it turns out TACOing out of this self inflicted disaster in Iran is not as easy as other TACOs he has pirouetted through.
Then this afternoon our MPC is expected to hike the prime interest rate another 0.25% after hiking in May, this will bring prime to 10.75%.

This is no longer just headline volatility. Coordinated pressure on both major oil routes, escalating military conflict with no clear path to de-escalation, and direct tanker targeting are creating a structural supply risk. There is no spare capacity that can replace 25% of global supply. #OOTT
